Fall in Love with this Balloon Garland
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you enjoy this day of love with your guy, gal, and friends. And while this DIY is perfect for Valentine's Day, you might even consider creating one of these for a date night in, engagement party, or at an event where any sort of love may be present. It's quick and easy, can be made as long or wide as you prefer, and even though none of us are Jihan Zencirli of Geronimo Balloons it's sure to get compliments.
What you'll need:
- "XOXO" gold mylar balloons
- Heart balloons (I used 11" and 6")
- Balloons (I used 11" ones in the colors gold, red, and red and white marble)
- Scotch tape
- Glue dots (or other attachment)
Begin by blowing up your balloons. I began with the 11'' hearts which I blew up almost to if not near the fullest amount. The same went for the 6" hearts. Since the 11" balloons will need to be used as fillers you may want to blow up those balloons as you assemble. Blow up the mylar balloons as well. To assemble, make a chain of the 11" hearts alternating between colors and attaching to one another at different points using glue dots. I decided to add an 11" balloon in between the hearts (blown up to an equal size with the hearts). After constructing the chain add your fill-ins (11" balloons and 6" heart balloons). Use the glue dots a second time to place each balloon in it's desired place making sure to fill up any unwanted or unattractive space. Figure where the "XOXO" balloons go by placing them in spots where they will attach easiest and where they will provide equal space between the other letters. Attach to their preferred spots. Hang to the space you would like using scotch tape.
